Main benefits of spray foam roofing:
Seamless: Polyurethane foam and the protective coatings is applied as a liquid, creating a single monolithic membrane that covers the entire roof. There are no seams or joints, the source of leaks in traditional flat and low sloped roofs.
Flexible: The foam can be sprayed onto essentially any surface, irregularly shaped roofs and protrusions are readily taken care of.
Lightweight: Foam roofing typically weighs around 50 lbs. per square, versus 800 lbs. for a built-up roof and 100 lbs. for ballasted single-ply roofs. Take a load off your roof, most times there is enough gravel on your roof to cause serious structural damage over a long-term period.
Thermal Insulation: Spray foam has the best insulating properties available for commercial and residential construction today.
Sustainability: Foamed roofs require a minimum of upkeep, creating little waste and have an indefinite lifespan. Sprayed polyurethane foam has an R-value of 7 per 1 inch thickness, enabling it to provide more thermal resistance with less material than any other type of roofing insulation.
Self-Flashing: You won’t need to use new flashings on your roof with spray foam. Where prior flashings were used they are sprayed over to make an airtight leak free area.
Energy Efficient: Reduces capacity requirements, maintenance and wear on HVAC equipment
